Nobel Peace Prize Winners

Dec. 10, 2019 Max Points: 20

In pairs, students will choose one of the people who have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize from the list at

Read the biography and also search the Internet to find more information about them. Working with your partner, create a presentation about the Peace Prize winner you selected. You will present this to the class on Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Your presentation should include a minimum of 5 slides with graphics and visuals. It should answer these questions: Why was this person awarded the prize? Explain their earlier work and life. How have they lived their life after receiving the prize? Has there been any controversy about their selection or the way they lived their life?

Your presentation will be graded based on whether you have answered the questions, included visuals and graphics and on the thoroughness of the detail you include. Better grades will go to students who do more research and don't just use the biographies on the Nobel Peace Prize website.
